Basketball Game Preview: L.C. Bird Skyhawks vs. Cosby Titans + Official Tickets

The L.C. Bird Skyhawks will take on the Cosby Titans in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. L.C. Bird is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.5 points per game this season.

On Saturday, L.C. Bird was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-46 to South Garner. The loss was the Skyhawks' first of the season.

Despite the defeat, L.C. Bird got top-tier performance from Kamari Simon, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Simon now owns an excellent 51.2% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Kylie Kent, who posted ten points along with eight boards and five blocks.

Meanwhile, Cosby strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 46-34 victory over Powhatan. That's two games straight that the Titans have won by exactly 12 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, L.C. Bird fell to 3-1. As for Cosby, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

L.C. Bird strolled past Cosby in their previous meeting back in February by a score of 65-50. Do the Skyhawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
