Basketball Recap: Wister Takes a Loss

Wister lost against Panama back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wister Wildcats took a 69-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panama Razorbacks. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while the Razorbacks are ranked 97th).

Wister dropped their record down to 7-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Panama, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.

Wister has already played their next matchup, a 59-50 loss against Kinta on the 15th. As for Panama, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 53-36 defeat against Red Oak on the 14th.
