Basketball Recap: Roscommon Comes Up Short

If Roscommon was feeling good fresh off their 84-49 takedown of Tawas Area last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Roscommon Bucks were dealt an 88-45 loss at the hands of the McBain Ramblers on Wednesday. The contest marked the Bucks' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Roscommon lost, don't look at Keaton Pratt. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 13 en route to 20 points and four steals. The game was Pratt's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Owen Barnes, who posted nine points.

Roscommon has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for McBain, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

Roscommon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-40 defeat against Lake City on the 17th. McBain has also already played their next game, a 79-39 win against Pine River Area on the 17th.
