Volleyball Recap: Greenwich Cardinals vs. Stamford Black Knights
Greenwich was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Stamford Black Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Black Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in April.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 21-25, 25-13, 25-14.
Dyan Gomez paced Greenwich's offense, picking up ten kills. Gomez got some help from Logan Jaycox and his 24 assists. Gomez was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.
Greenwich's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Stamford, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
Greenwich wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Danbury on the 7th. As for Stamford, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Westhill on the 7th.
