The Alba-Golden Panthers will face off against the Hawkins Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Hawkins will be up against a hot Alba-Golden team: the squad just extended their winning streak to seven. Alba-Golden put the hurt on Cumby with a sharp 15-1 victory on Friday.
Tucker Samples and Landon Dunham were a major factor no matter where they played. Meanwhile, Dunham struck out eight batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). At bat, Samples went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Dunham fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-3. That triple marked the first that Samples hit this season.

In other batting news, Boogie Trimble was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-4. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Mason Smith, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Alba-Golden was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cumby only posted a batting average of .059.
Meanwhile, Hawkins' rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Big Sandy a 15-0 shutout.
Hawkins has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. Alba-Golden's win bumped their record up to 9-4.
