Payne Tech waltzed into their game on Tuesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They secured a 63-58 W over the Seton Hall Prep Pirates. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Pirates back in January, they had to take a 63-54 loss.

Seton Hall Prep's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Guzzardo, who posted 20 points. Another player making a difference was Anthony Gonzalez, who had seven points in addition to seven assists and three steals.

Payne Tech has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Seton Hall Prep, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-4.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Payne Tech Lions duke it out with the Arts Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Seton Hall Prep, they will face off against East Orange Campus at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Seton Hall Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully East Orange Campus likes a good challenge.
