Daphne hadn't beaten Baker on the road since March 8, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. Daphne walked away with a 6-1 victory over Baker. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-2 last Thursday.

Daphne has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. Baker's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Daphne will host Bryant at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bryant will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Daphne surely won't give up without a fight. We've got a battle between Hornets coming up.
