Soccer Recap: Quincy Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

The matchup between Quincy and Stockbridge on Wednesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Orioles' defense stepped up to hand the Panthers an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Quincy, who have now won eight contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Quincy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those seven games. As for Stockbridge, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Quincy didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Sturgis on the 3rd. As for Stockbridge, they will head out on the road to challenge Bronson at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Stockbridge will be up against Bronson's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.7 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
