Volleyball Recap: Crivitz Wolverines vs. Sevastopol Pioneers
Crivitz was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sevastopol Pioneers. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2019.
Crivitz's offense was headlined by Marli Meyers and Brecken Ott, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Hattie Frievalt and her ten assists. Peyton Rehberg controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Crivitz's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Sevastopol, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-8.
Crivitz wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Algoma on the 27th. As for Sevastopol, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Ashwaubenon on the 27th.
