Volleyball Recap: Crivitz Takes a Loss

Crivitz was the 2-0 winner over Sevastopol when they last played one another back in October of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolverines fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Their offense was headlined by Marli Meyers and Brecken Ott, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Hattie Frievalt and her ten assists. Peyton Rehberg controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Crivitz's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Sevastopol, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Crivitz didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Algoma on the 27th. As for Sevastopol, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Ashwaubenon on the 27th.
