The Yulee Hornets will challenge the Bolles Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Yulee's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while Bolles has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Yulee's offense. They fell 5-0 to Episcopal School of Jacksonville on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Hornets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bolles). They blew past Trinity Christian Academy 16-6 on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Bolles got a massive performance out of Aleda Cashwell, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Cashwell has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Logan Gonzalez, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Yulee's loss dropped their record down to 10-8-1. As for Bolles, their victory bumped their record up to 2-13.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Yulee has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bolles struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
