Lexington waltzed into their match on Wednesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They never let the Mansfield Senior Tygers get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Minutemen also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.
Makaree Chapman and Savannah Lutz were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Chapman didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Lutz pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Chapman has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. At the plate, Chapman went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs, while Lutz went 1-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
