Softball Recap: Hillside Takes a Loss

After flying high against Southeast Raleigh last Monday, Hillside came back down to earth. The Hornets came up short against the Jordan Falcons on Tuesday, falling 17-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 20-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Hillside's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Jordan, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hillside will face off against rival Riverside-Durham at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Jordan is set to take on their familiar foe Northern Durham at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
