Football Recap: St. Martin Skates Past Meridian with Ease

St. Martin had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 28-0 win over the Meridian Wildcats.

Jalyn Nguyen went supernova, throwing for 85 yards and three TDs, while also rushing for 50 yards and one score.

Another reason for the win was St. Martin's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for eight sacks. In that department, LaLonnie Duncan was the leader with six.

Looking ahead, it'll be a Battle of the Bugs St. Martin Yellow Jackets take on East Central Hornets at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meridian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
