Basketball Recap: Knoxville Takes a Loss

Knoxville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost to the Centerville Big Reds/Redettes on the road by a 62-44 margin. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while the Big Reds/Redettes are ranked 134th).

Knoxville's record now sits at 4-14. As for Centerville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Knoxville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 72-41 defeat against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont on the 4th. Centerville has also already played their next game, a 70-49 win against Central Lee on the 3rd.
