Basketball Recap: Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Falls to St. Edward in First Game of Season

Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin kicked off their season on the road on Sunday and hit a couple of potholes. They were outmatched by the St. Edward Eagles and fell 89-50. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

St. Edward's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jt Kelsheimer led the charge by shooting 63% from the field en route to 14 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zymir Knox, who went 6-for-11 on his way to 12 points and seven rebounds.

Coming up, Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin will welcome Hawken at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Edward, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 83-50 victory against Lakewood on the 2nd.
