Crater came tearing into Thursday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They didn't even let the Springfield Millers on the board, marking their second-straight 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Crater's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-8. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Springfield, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-22.

As of now, neither Crater nor the Millers have any future games scheduled.
