Western Plains hadn't done well against Northern Valley recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Bobcats walked away with a 2-0 win over the Huskies. The Bobcats were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Huskies, so the Bobcats were just returning the favor.

Western Plains' offense was headlined by Aubrianna Flax and Jaelyn Spangler, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Chloe Briand and her 12 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Western Plains is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season. As for Northern Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-22.

Western Plains has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Wheatland-Grinnell on the 11th. As for Northern Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Weskan on the 11th.
