Maranacook waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 58-15 win over the Maine Central Institute Huskies. That's more bragging rights for the Black Bears, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Maranacook's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.7 points per game. As for Maine Central Institute, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maranacook will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Maine Central Institute at 7:00 p.m. on December 30th. Maine Central Institute and Erskine Academy will round out the year against one another at at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
