Softball Recap: Kennedy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Charter School for Applied Tech on Friday, Kennedy came back down to earth. The Bears came up short against the Griffith Institute Griffins on Monday, falling 17-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Griffins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-9 back in April.

Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Griffith Institute, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennedy will take on Tonawanda at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Timberwolves have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Griffith Institute, they will challenge Westfield at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
