After a string of three wins, Hillcrest's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They received a blow as they fell 26-12 to the Hemet Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 449th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 170th).

Hemet was led to victory by Jay'Anna Foster and Shiloh Wigal. Foster gained 130 total yards and a touchdown, while Wigal rushed for 52 yards and one touchdown. The dominant performance also gave Foster a new career-high in rushing yards (89). Morgan Clark got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Hillcrest's loss dropped their record down to 3-7-1. As for Hemet, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Hillcrest wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 28-26 victory against Canyon Springs on the 15th. As for Hemet, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 18-6 defeat against Roosevelt on the 13th.
