Softball Game Preview: Wilcox Chargers vs. Milpitas Trojans

Wilcox hasn't had much luck against Milpitas recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Chargers will face off against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. Milpitas took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Wilcox, who comes in off a win.

Wilcox is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Gunn on Tuesday as they made off with a 15-1 win. The Chargers have beaten the Titans the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Titans has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Milpitas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Los Gatos. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Trojans have suffered since March 13th.

Chloe Cabrera was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Milpitas' loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Wilcox, their victory bumped their record up to 8-15.

Wilcox might still be hurting after the 12-0 defeat they got from Milpitas in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Chargers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
