Baseball Game Preview: Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers vs. Smyrna Bulldogs

The Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers will take on the Smyrna Bulldogs at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Neither Warren County nor Smyrna posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Warren County is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Sequatchie County just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 15-1 to the Indians.

Warren County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Adams, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Smyrna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 5-1 to Brighton.

Warren County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Smyrna, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Warren County was able to grind out a solid win over Smyrna in their previous matchup back in March of 2022, winning 10-6. Will Warren County repeat their success, or does Smyrna has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
