Basketball Game Preview: Covington Buccs vs. Milton-Union Bulldogs

Covington hasn't had much luck against Milton-Union recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Covington Buccs will be home for the holidays to greet the Milton-Union Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Covington is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They had to suffer through a 86-40 loss at the hands of Northridge. The Buccs were down 71-39 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Milton-Union fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Miami East on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 68-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. The loss leaves the Bulldogs without a win on the season.

Covington will have to contain Wyatt Kimmel as he made an impact in Milton-Union's last game. He went 7 of 17 on his way to 27 points and seven rebounds. Those 27 points gave Kimmel a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Titus Copp, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points along with six boards and five assists.

Covington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Milton-Union, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
