Basketball Recap: Cayla Shaw's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Southern Alamance over NCSSM: Durham

Southern Alamance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 32-25 to the NCSSM: Durham Unicorns.

Southern Alamance lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cayla Shaw, who posted eight points. Those eight points gave Shaw a new career-high. Sarah Kathryn Maness was another key player, putting up nine points.

Southern Alamance's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for NCSSM: Durham, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-6.

Southern Alamance has already played their next matchup (against Western Alamance), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. NCSSM: Durham didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 38-21 victory against Franklin Academy on the 23rd.
