El Camino had lost ten straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it 11. They and the Eastlake Titans were almost perfectly matched up, but the Wildcats suffered a 33-32 defeat. On the bright side, the 32- point effort marked the Wildcats' highest-scoring match to date.

As for Eastlake, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6. Their offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last six games.

The critical scores for Eastlake came from Rowan Eberle, Ava Ellorin, Isabelle Taylor-Dixon, and Luca Guernsey.

El Camino wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 20-0 win against Whittier on the 13th. As for Eastlake, they have also already played their next contest, a 34-2 loss against Bonita Vista on the 16th.
