After two games on the road, Ewing is heading back home. They will take on the St. John-Vianney Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Ewing posted their biggest win since January 2nd on Tuesday. They blew past Hightstown 59-32 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Ewing has posted against Hightstown since February 14, 2019.
Ewing had a senior duo take command as Rhian Stokes dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten steals and Te'Yala Delfosse dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. Stokes is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Joi Johnson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, St. John-Vianney made easy work of Long Branch on Monday and carried off a 55-35 win. The victory was just what St. John-Vianney needed coming off of a 74-48 defeat in their prior match.
Ewing pushed their record up to 11-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points per game. As for St. John-Vianney, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
