Basketball Recap: Coronado Takes a Loss

Coronado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 43-31 to the Amarillo Sandies. The game marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Amarillo, they pushed their record up to 22-5 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coronado will challenge Lubbock-Cooper at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Coronado is facing Lubbock-Cooper at the right time seeing as Lubbock-Cooper is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Amarillo, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Plainview at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Plainview knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Amarillo likes a good challenge.
