Baseball Recap: Goodman-Pembine Takes a Loss

Goodman-Pembine extended their losing streak to seven on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-7 in the process. They lost 7-0 to the Crandon Cardinals. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Falcons haven't been shut out since back in April.

As for Crandon, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games.

For Crandon's part, Nolan Bradley was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Bradley has become a key player for the Cardinals: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-3 otherwise. Brody Lemaster also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goodman-Pembine will face off against Florence at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Crandon, they will take on Merrill at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
