Basketball Game Preview: Paulsboro Red Raiders vs. Gloucester City Lions

Paulsboro is 1-9 against Gloucester City since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Paulsboro Red Raiders will challenge the Gloucester City Lions at 5:30 p.m.

Paulsboro is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game dating back to last season on Saturday. They came up short against Camden, falling 51-25.

Meanwhile, Gloucester City put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They wrapped up 2024 with a 56-40 win over Pitman. The Lions' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Paulsboro's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Gloucester City, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Paulsboro couldn't quite finish off Gloucester City in their previous matchup back in January and fell 35-32. Can Paulsboro avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
