Baseball Recap: Westchester Country Day Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Westchester Country Day duked it out with High Point Christian Academy on Tuesday. The Westchester Country Day Wildcats lost 10-2 to the High Point Christian Academy Cougars. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Westchester Country Day saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jesse Covington, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Eli Moore also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Westchester Country Day's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for High Point Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

While Westchester Country Day had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
