Baseball Recap: Elgin Takes a Loss

Elgin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Weston-McEwen/Griswold Tiger Scots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tiger Scots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 last Tuesday.

Elgin's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Weston-McEwen/Griswold, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.

Coming up, Elgin is taking a road trip to face off against Grant Union at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Weston-McEwen/Griswold, they will be playing at home against Sherman at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
