 The Eagle Valley Devils waltzed into their game  on Tuesday with three straight wins  but they left with four. They walked away with  a   72-65  victory over Palisade. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
 Leading Eagle Valley to victory were  Tyler Bates and  Parker Newbanks.  Bates  dropped  a double-double on 14 points and 12  rebounds, while  Newbanks  scored 23 points along with two  steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Bates has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Dylan Zoller, who  scored 11 points along with five  rebounds and three  steals.
 Palisade lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   LJ Ballenger, who  scored 17 points.  Layne Ruppelius was another key contributor,  scoring 15 points along with four  steals.
 Eagle Valley pushed their record up to 14-8 with that  win, which was their fourth straight  on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their  offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Palisade, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eagle Valley will take on Glenwood Springs at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked  in Colorado (Glenwood Springs is ranked 98th, while Eagle Valley is ranked 102nd). As for Palisade, they will be playing at home against Battle Mountain at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Palisade is facing Battle Mountain at the right time seeing as Battle Mountain is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
