Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Leadership Academy Takes a Loss

Lincoln Leadership Academy entered their game against MMI Preparatory School on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Lions fell 3-1 to MMI Preparatory School. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to MMI Preparatory School when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: MMI Preparatory School scored at least 20 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-21, 18-25, 25-20.

Lincoln Leadership Academy's offense was headlined by Alana Smith and Karina Morales, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Jade Rosario and her 12 assists. Liana Fernandez controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Lincoln Leadership Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for MMI Preparatory School, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Lincoln Leadership Academy has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Varsity Opponent on the 16th. As for MMI Preparatory School, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Weatherly on the 15th.
