Basketball Game Preview: Woodruff Wolverines vs. Fountain Inn Fury + How To Watch

The Woodruff Wolverines are taking a road trip to square off against the Fountain Inn Fury at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, Woodruff was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 43-39 to Laurens. The Wolverines haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Woodruff got top-tier performance from Jensyn Turner, who almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine boards. The Wolverines are 2-1 when Turner posts 15 or more points, but 1-3 otherwise. Jaylen Means was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fountain Inn). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Powdersville 68-18. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Fury with their most commanding win of the season.

Fountain Inn's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Woodruff, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Woodruff couldn't quite finish off Fountain Inn in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 and fell 45-43. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Fury's Chaniya Jackson, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 18 rebounds. Now that the Wolverines know the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
