Basketball Recap: Cape Henry Collegiate's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Cape Henry Collegiate lost against Norfolk Academy back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cape Henry Collegiate Dolphins fell to the Norfolk Academy Bulldogs 37-32.

Leading Norfolk Academy to victory were Maria Delyannis and Cooper Cutchins. Delyannis went 8 of 17 on her way to 18 points and six steals, while Cutchins posted seven points and seven steals. Delyannis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 19 games she's played dating back to last season.

Cape Henry Collegiate's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4. As for Norfolk Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-8.

Cape Henry Collegiate has already played their next match, a 49-28 defeat against Hampton Roads Academy on the 4th. As for Norfolk Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 55-7 win against Peninsula Catholic on the 4th.
