It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but River Valley had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Monument Valley Mustangs a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Dust Devils, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Sophia Reyes made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Reyes was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple.
