Basketball Recap: Redwater Falls Despite Big Games from Braelan Morgan and Marquez Jones

Redwater lost against Atlanta back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Redwater Dragons fell 71-58 to the Atlanta Rabbits. The Dragons' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Redwater's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Marquez Jones, who went 7 of 15 to rack up 15 points, and Braelan Morgan, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds. What's more, Morgan also posted a 60% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2024. Carson Wheat was another key player, putting up 13 points and five boards.

Redwater's loss dropped their record down to 13-20. As for Atlanta, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 19-12 record this season.

Coming up, Redwater will venture away from home to square off against New Boston at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
