Basketball Game Preview: Seton Catholic Central Knights vs. Bolton Central Eagles

The Seton Catholic Central Knights will venture away from home to take on the Bolton Central Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Seton Catholic Central sitting on four straight victories and Bolton Central on 15.

Seton Catholic Central will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Northern Adirondack, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Seton Catholic Central walked away with a 33-24 win over Northern Adirondack on Monday.

Seton Catholic Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grace Trombley, who posted nine points and eight boards. Trombley is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. Dayline Willette was another key player, putting up eight points and five boards.

Meanwhile, everything went Bolton Central's way against Willsboro Central on Tuesday as Bolton Central made off with a 68-42 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 24 points or more this season.

Seton Catholic Central has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.7 points per game. As for Bolton Central, their victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-1.

Seton Catholic Central might still be hurting after the 44-20 defeat they got from Bolton Central in their previous meeting back in January. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Seton Catholic Central was down 26-6.
