Baseball Recap: Northglenn Takes a Loss

Northglenn had lost seven straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped down to 5-7 to make it eight. They came up short against the Centaurus Warriors, falling 10-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Norse of the 19-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

As for Centaurus, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-8. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

For Centaurus' part, Ari Schoenwald-Reed was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Schoenwald-Reed a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Sehnert, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Northglenn will take on Prairie View at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Centaurus, they will challenge Legacy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lightning Bolt's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
