Basketball Recap: Royal Valley Beats Rossville for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Royal Valley had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 46-42 W against the Rossville Bulldogs.

Leading Royal Valley to victory were KiWe Miller and Panno Wahwassuck. Miller dropped a double-double with 20 points and 14 boards, while Wahwassuck went 6-for-14 en route to 17 points. With that strong performance, Miller is now averaging an impressive 8.1 rebounds per game. Another player making a difference was Samantha Klotz, who posted a point along with 11 boards and six blocks.

Royal Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in four consecutive matches.

Royal Valley's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Rossville, they dropped their record down to 7-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
