Preview: Williston Red Devils vs. Chiefland Indians

Williston is 10-0 against Chiefland since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Williston Red Devils will take on the Chiefland Indians at TBD. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Williston had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Dixie County 89-34 on the road on Thursday. Williston's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Chiefland's strategy against Trenton on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Chiefland blew Trenton out of the water with a 61-28 final score. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-10.

The victory was the sixth in a row for Williston, bringing their record for this year to 24-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Chiefland, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Williston against Chiefland when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 72-40 win. Does Williston have another victory up their sleeve, or will Chiefland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
