Greenwood Mennonite had won two straight home games  and  Bobbie Smith did her part to make it three on Friday. The Greenwood Mennonite Flames snuck past the Holly Grove Christian Eagles with  a  37-31 victory thanks in part to  Smith, who  posted seven points in addition to ten  rebounds and three  steals. The dominant performance gave  her a new career-high in  steals.
 Another player making a difference was  Carli Welfley, who  had ten  points. She is also on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed two or more in the last four games she's  played.
Greenwood Mennonite is  on a roll lately: they've  won ten of their last 11 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record  this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.8 points over those games. As for Holly Grove Christian, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 10-5.
