Volleyball Recap: Andrean Picks Up 11th Straight Win on the Road

Andrean lost to Covenant Christian back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Fighting 59ers came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 2-0.

While Andrean won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-14.

Their offense was headlined by Trevor Prisby and Ethan Duong, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Ethan Bisaga and his 12 assists. Finally, Patrick Rensch kept Andrean's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Andrean pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Covenant Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-6.

When Andrean and Covenant Christian next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Fighting 59ers will try to stop Lake Central's four-game winning streak when they meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Covenant Christian will square off against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory and their four-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
