If Cadott was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Fall Creek on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hornets came up short against the McDonell Central Macks on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Hornets' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Cadott was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-11, 25-19.

Haley Mathison paced Cadott's offense, picking up 11 kills. Mathison got some help from Karlee Davis and her 24 assists.

Cadott's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for McDonell Central, the victory (which was their 24th in a row) raised their record to 28-2.

Looking ahead, Cadott will square off against Grantsburg at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for McDonell Central, they will be taking part in a tournament against Ladysmith at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
