Basketball Recap: Marathon's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

Marathon and McDonell Central squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Marathon had to settle for second. They took a 48-32 bruising from the McDonell Central Macks. The game marked the Red Raiders' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Marathon moved to 20-7 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points over those games. As for McDonell Central, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-8.
