Basketball Recap: Cleveland Comes Up Short

Cleveland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Liberty Tigers, falling 74-47. While losing is never fun, Cleveland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 345th, while Liberty is ranked 153rd).

Cleveland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Liberty, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Cleveland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-43 win against Barnsdall on the 25th. As for Liberty, they will square off against Riverfield Country Day at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Riverfield Country Day's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
