Recap: Hilliard Bradley Jaguars vs. Upper Arlington Golden Bears

With a playoff game on the line, the Hilliard Bradley Jaguars rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against Upper Arlington by a score of 35-28. The victory was nothing new for Hilliard Bradley as they're now sitting on four straight.

Among those leading the charge was Bradyn Fleharty, who rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Fleharty was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 61 yards.

When it comes to explaining why Upper Arlington lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kyle Cox. Despite the final result, he threw for 240 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes.

Even if they lost, Upper Arlington's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Cameron Baker was especially locked on to Hilliard Bradley's QB and sacked him twice.

Hilliard Bradley pushed their record up to 13-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 11-2 Pickerington North and 9-3 Westerville North (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 62.8% over those games). As for Upper Arlington, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.

Hilliard Bradley will play host again and welcome St. Edward, where kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Edward knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Hilliard Bradley likes a good challenge. Upper Arlington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
