Softball Game Preview: Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] Titans vs. Sullivan Redskins

The Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Sullivan Redskins at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Friday just wasn't the day for Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland]'s offense. They fell 3-0 to Blue Ridge on Friday. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shaylun Christenberry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on one hit and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keisha Budd, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Sullivan didn't have quite enough to beat Argenta-Oreana on Thursday and fell 6-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Redskins in their meetings with the Bombers: they've now lost four in a row.

Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland]'s loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Sullivan, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-8.

Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] couldn't quite get it done against Sullivan in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-1. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
