Soccer Game Preview: Big Spring vs. Lake View

The Big Spring Steers will square off against the Lake View Chiefs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Big Spring: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Lake View has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Big Spring turned things around against Estacado on Friday. They and the Matadors finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked the Steers' first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, Lake View was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They skirted past Andrews 2-1. Given the Chiefs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 357th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Big Spring's draw gives them a new season record of 1-7-1. As for Lake View, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
