Basketball Game Preview: Plainview Hornets vs. Tioga Indians

The Plainview Hornets will challenge the Tioga Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Plainview's tournament run continued when they took on St. Joseph's - Plaucheville on Thursday. Plainview claimed a resounding 68-24 victory over St. Joseph's - Plaucheville. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Tioga entered their tilt with Grant on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Cougars, posting a 49-21 win. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Cougars are ranked 262nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Plainview's victory bumped their record up to 21-8. As for Tioga, their win bumped their record up to 20-9.

Everything went Plainview's way against Tioga when the teams last played back in December of 2015, as Plainview made off with a 56-32 victory. Does Plainview have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tioga turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
